The CDFI of the Tohono O’odham Nation actively seeks out opportunities for serving the needs of its clients and the needs of the T.O. Nation through grant applications, program development and partnerships with federal and other organizations. Our current projects, awards and certification include:

United States Department of Treasury In February of 2008 the CDFITON was certified by the Department of Treasury as one of 46 Native American CDFI’s in the country.
CDFI TON received funding from Native American CDFI Assistance Program (NACA) Under the U.S Treasury, to match loan funds, for technical assistance.

USDA - It has engaged in partnerships with United States Department of Agriculture to offer guaranteed loans to Tohono O’odham cattle ranchers. The Environmental Quality Incentives Programs (EQIP) is a loan program geared to assist ranchers.
Rural Business Economic Grants awarded under USDA
Grant funds awarded 2008 - To develop a computer laboratory for use of community members and CFDI clients/customers in research, planning and education.
Grant funds awarded in 2007 - To conduct surveys of business operating on the Nation. Information unveiled areas of economic need and focus for the development of services for the CDFI and other organizations.
